I am having difficulties screwing in the CO2 bottle?  

Make sure the security cap is removed. The bottle needs to be screwed in at a slight angle and clockwise. The bottle will pivot in automatically as you screw. To remove the bottle, pivot he co2 bottle out of the housing and screw counterclockwise.
